Popular artist Queen Ure and her fans on Saturday visited the Bethesda home for the blind, donating food and household materials for the upkeep of the inmates of the house located at Agege motor Road, Ojuelegba in Surulere, Lagos. The visit was part of the monthly visit to physically challenged and needy individuals done by Queen Ure fan Club.
Presenting the items to the founder of the home, Mr. Chioma Ohakwe, Queen Ure told the inmates that being visually impaired didn’t mean they could not be fulfilled in life and they in them were innate abilities that could serve as launching pads to them fulfilling destiny.
While at the home, members of the Queen Ure fan Club were entertained with lots of music and dance by inmates of the home with the instrumentalist showing their dexterity in playing both local and modern musical instruments. Queen Ure and members of her club sang and dance with them.
Responding to this gesture, the founder of the home, Mrs. Ohakwe thanked Queen Ure and her fans for their visit and promised to put to good use the items given to them. The items included mattress and pillows, bags of Rice, salt, beans, yams, garri, Vegetable oil and cartons of indomie noodles.
