Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Minority Leader, House of Representatives, while on Friday in Abuja, he said that APC members in the lower legislative chamber would ensure the enthronement of good governance in Nigeria.
“Government shut-down or filibustering is nothing new in party politics world over.”
“Of what benefits has the passage of budgets been to the common man,’’ he queried, adding that the extraordinary measures adopted by the APC would ensure good governance.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) had on Jan. 23 directed its members in the National Assembly to block all executive bills, including the 2014 Appropriation Bill, until the Federal Government addressed the crisis in Rivers.
The APC also threatened to direct its members nationwide, especially in Rivers, to resort to “self-help” as a protective measure if the situation was not controlled.
