Cabinet Reshuffle: 10 Ministers To Go By April

Barely four months after dropping 9 Ministers under dramatic circumstances; indications have emerged that President Goodluck Jonathan will before April, 2014 sack another 10 ministers from his cabinet.

A source close to the Presidency told National Weekender earlier this week that this imminent shake-up is due to intelligence report gathered by the Presidency which reveals that no fewer than 10 serving ministers have either been engaged in anti-party activities or are directly in league with Nigeria’s largest opposition party, APC.

Although our source was not explicit as to the Ministers that would be affected, National Weekender was able to scoop that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala (Supervising Minister of the Economy); Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu (Minister of Health); Diezani Alison-Madueke (Minister of Petroleum Resources); Comrade Abba Moro (Minister of Interior) and Labaran Maku (Minister of Information and Communication) will not be affected by this major Cabinet Reshuffle.

Our source was also asked whether the embattled Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah would survive the imminent cabinet shake- up. He stated that though the President is keeping the names close to his chest, he can assure us that Oduah will survive this sack.

Further investigation revealed that, apart from being loyal to the President, one other factor that will work for the seemingly untouchable Ministers is because of to their political relevance in their respective States.

This reshuffling exercise, when it eventually happens would be the first for the year 2014.
