Activities at the High Courts in Ikeja and Igboshere, Lagos State are back to what they were before the yuletide season break. The Courts had gone a two week break between the 23rd of December 2013 and 3rd of January 2014 which left the premises less busy in early hours and dead silent at evenings.
Our reporter who visited both the Ikeja and Igboshere divisions of the state high court saw the staffs of the various courts at their duty posts just as the lawyers coming in and out of the courts premises engage themselves in legal discussions after exchange of pleasantries. While some courts are yet to commence seating but are listed to start on Tuesday, others have started court proceedings.
When asked about how she feels returning back to work after the festive season holiday break, one of the Court Clarks at the Ikeja division who pleaded anonymity said that she has been refreshed and she is ready for the task ahead, she also thanked God for making her see the year 2014.
