Olukoya’s Security Consultant Dies At 68

The Security Consultant to the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry (MFM), Pastor Daniel Kayode Olukoya, Elder Michael Olatunji Adekeye is dead. Elder Adekeye died in active service in the Vineyard of God.

According to family sources, the 68 years old suddenly took ill on Christmas day while working inside Prayer City and was rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja. He was at the hospital for eight days before he died on January 1st at exactly 2:33am.

Elder Adekeye has been working very closely with Pastor Olukoya in the last 10 years and his efforts have helped to successfully tackle several security issues and challenges facing the church before he joined. Elder Adekeye we leant introduced the placement of circuit cable television (CCTV) in and around the Prayer City, the Church headquarters at Onike and all branches of the church. He has personally busted several crime gangs and plots against the church. Notable among them was the planned attack on Prayer City by the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram in July 2013 which led to the arrest of about 40 members of the sect in Lagos.

In his remark Senior Pastor Yilu who led a team of about 20 pastors sent by the General Overseer, (Pastor Olukoya) to visit and pray for the family of the deceased in his Badagry Country Home on Thursday 2nd January, 2014 said, “Elder Adekeye is a jolly good fellow who worked tirelessly and actively to propagate the gospel and ministry. He is the most reliable hand to the G.O and if the church had just 10 of such person then the ministry would have expanded than it is at the moment. He is upright, just and fair to all. He fought corruption and stood for equity. He hates oppression and loves to give hope to the less privilege and downtrodden. He is indeed a man of peace. Elder Adekeye would be greatly missed by the church.”

Burial arrangement would be announced by his family but National Weekender gathered from reliable sources that Elder Adekeye who hails from Iludun in Kwara State may be buried on January 24 in Lagos.
