Nigeria midfielder Gabriel Reuben’s request to be released by Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock has happened.
Reuben, 23, wanted to leave the club after failing to get regular game time after recovering from injury.
“I’m happy that my wish to leave was granted. The plan is to explore other avenues,” Reuben told told BBC Sport.
“I wish the club and fans all the best.”
Reuben, who was part of the Nigeria squad that qualified for the 2014 World Cup, returned to fitness in August after being side-lined with a groin injury for three months.
