Warri Wolves skipper Azubuike Egwuekwe has revealed he is set to move to Italy, but has again refused to make known the identity of the club.
“I’m moving to Italy,” 24-year-old Egwuekwe revealed, but will not say anything further.
Big central defender Egwuekwe has been picked for the CHAN in South Africa amid fears he could turn his back on the tournament like Sunday Mba.
The towering defender has been one of the favourites of coach Stephen Keshi since he took charge of the national team two years ago.
He lost his place in the Super Eagles first-team after he fell ill in Portugal prior to the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
But he will then deputise for Kenneth Omeruo, who suffered a shoulder injury at the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil.
He will again give way to Omeruo for a 2014 World Cup play-off in Calabar in November.
