A Governorship Aspirant in Nasarawa State under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator John Danboyi has expressed confidence that his party would bounce back to capture the seat of power in Lafia and of course clear the Senate seats come 2015 general elections.
Speaking with National Weekender in Akwanga in an interview, Senator Danboyi attributed his acceptability to the growing wave of support the party is now enjoying from across the State.
He observed that given the significant presence of the PDP in all the three Senatorial Districts in the State, it was enough to conclude that the seat of power belongs to the party as it is poised to regain its lost glory.
Senator Danboyi who attributed the development to the concerted efforts of the party leadership in the state said it is set to revive the party by mobilizing the people. He expressed gratitude that such efforts have started yielding the desired fruits.
The governorship hopeful further stressed that the growing wave of the PDP in the state is a proof of the inability of the present administration in the State to live up to the expectations of the people hence they decided to come back to their original home which is the PDP since they have now realized their mistakes.
Explaining why he wanted the people of the State to give him the chance to govern them Senator Danboyi said he had a burning desire to contribute his quota to the socio-economic development of the State.
Similarly, he said he would address the cases of under development and stagnations that has bedeviled the state due to the present state of mal-administration and leadership ineptitude.
Senator Danboyi who was the Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria during Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s tenure under Nasarawa North Senatorial District assured that if elected he would harness the abundant potentials of the state for the general wellbeing of the people as well as address the problems of youths restiveness and also empower the women folk.
While appealing to the people of the state to give him the opportunity to serve them, he further assured that if elected he would strive hard to build a just and egalitarian society for peace and prosperity to reign supreme.
Commenting on the leaders both in the state and at the National levels, the governorship aspirant commended them for their continued efforts in rebuilding the party, ensuring reconciliation and a level playing ground for all those wishing to contest under its platform.
On those that detected from the party to the opposition side, the governorship aspirant stated that their move would not cause any serious setback to the progress of the party.
