Kabiru Akinsola has declared that his top target is to help CE L’Hospitalet feature in the Spanish Segunda division.
“My main target with my team for now is to help secure a place in the promotion playoff and eventually gain promotion to the Segunda division,” Akinsola told MTNFootball.com
“I don’t want to talk about any personal target as it would concern the number of goals I wish to score but will keep doing my best.”
CE L’Hospitalet are currently ninth in the Segunda B Group 3 with 27 points 19 games.
He said he is lonely at his present club, but he is adapting well because that is his job.
“I am the only Nigerian here and that makes me feel lonely but I am adapting well. It is the nature of my job, so I have to be focused and adapt,” he said.
He also rated the Spanish lower leagues better than the league in Cyprus.
“We can’t compare the league in Spain with Cyprus. As far as I am concerned, it is better here and I feel the league in Cyprus is meant for experienced players,” said Akinsola, who has played on loan at Doxa in Cyprus.
Akinsola, who won FIFA U17 World Cup in Korea in 2007, has played for Etoile du Sahel in Tunisia, Salamanca, Zamora, Granada, Cadiz, Cartagena all in Spain as well as Doxa in Cyprus.
