Badagry Demolition: Three Feared Dead

No fewer than three landlords are feared dead following the demolition exercise carried out by the Nigerian Police Force in Badagry area where three communities (MTN, Mowo and Atipromeh) were affected. Though details were still sketchy as at the time of filing this report but National Weekender gathered that the landlords died as a result of heart-attacks.

One of the alleged dead landlords an Igbo man named Obidike Uzondu has been taken to the mortuary at Health & Life Medical Center at Low Cost Housing Estate while another landlord whose names was given as Taofeek Gbadebo an Ibadan man who is also a furniture worker has been buried according to Moslem rites on Wednesday morning in a nearby bush within the demolished area.

An eye witness account revealed that the late Gbadebo is a father of two and his wife Toun is heavily pregnant. She and her children have been taken away to stay with the elder brother of Late Gbadebo who lives in Magbon.
